Stacey Amon is a filmmaker and aspiring director who grew up in Germantown, Maryland, now resides in Bowie. She is of West African descent pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Communications & Digital Media Arts with a concentration in Digital Cinema & Time-Based Media at Bowie State University. Stacey has interned with Megamind Media Productions as a Camera Production Assistant creating multiple films for the BET network. In her free time, she enjoys assisting other filmmakers with producing their content. As a kid, Stacey was always artistic with her hobbies, singing in choir, dancing, playing various instruments, and working behind the camera for her school’s morning news. In high school, she took several photography classes that made her fall in love with the artwork she could make with a camera. She became fascinated with watching behind-the-scenes videos of the production of films, which made her realize she had a passion for filmmaking. Her goal is to create content that teaches a lesson or conveys a message. Stacey continues to chase her dreams of working in the film industry and making a difference in the world.
